Ok, so now about the Bahamas. Originally (this was planned with one of my roommates and her friend who lives in a building across from us, but i would probably fairfield inn gatlinburg tn call her my friend now too cause she is awesome), we wanted to go to the Caribbean-you know Mexico and the like. However, due to some issues with time off and everything, by the time we had all the time off guaranteed, you probably guessed it, they had sold the cruise out...bugger!
The cruise was a Monday to Friday cruise, so we headed off, bright and early, Sunday morning to Miami-where we spent a day and a half touring the area, going to the beach, and just chilling. Miami was pretty awesome, so that's a definite go back to place!
fairfield inn gatlinburg tn Each day, we were able to be at a different place-Tuesday was Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, which was good-though the actual town wasn't anywhere near the port, and it had not much shopping, but the beach was awesome! Somehow, we ended up on a banana boat tour of the island, and very nearly got toppled, but we managed to hang on (barely-two other tourists on the back weren't so lucky...)

The shopping was much better here, so i bought a few things, fairfield inn gatlinburg tn while the others went to the beach-retail therapy!
Thursday was Great Stirrup Cay, the Norwegian Cruise's private island-where the beach was amazing! We pretty much spent the day in the water, at the few market stalls, or lounging on the beach chairs.
