A good night sleep (almost 12hours) was just what I needed to feel  a bit better! The fever was less

A good night sleep (almost 12hours) was just what I needed to feel  a bit better! The fever was less, the cough too, so time to go and discover San Diego, my first stop on the American West Coast. I was staying a bit out of the city center, by point Loma so I took the bus downtown.  I walked a lot through the city, exploring districts such as the Gaslamp southwest airlines home Quarter, the Balboa southwest airlines home Park (though I didn't go to the Zoo), Hillcrest, Bankers Hill, little Italy and the marina. San Diego has a lovely marina, tons of boats in a beautiful bay. Other than that, I was a bit disappointed southwest airlines home by the city. I could not find anything that I would say is something you can't find anywhere else, but then again I only spent 1 day. After returning to the hostel, I met up with a friend and we drove to Point Loma. Unfortunately we were too late to enter the naval base and go down to the water, but we stopped by the road and got a great view of the city. From there we drove to Sunset cliffs and then further on to Ocean beach where we watched the sunset. A few drinks in a local bar and then off to the hostel again.
The next morning I started my drive up north towards Los Angeles. A first stop was La Jolla, where I walked by the ocean and took many many pictures of the many many sea lions and pelicans you can find on the beach and the cliffs. I was thinking of renting a kayak and go explore the cove, but there was not enough time, so I just had a slightly longer walk than originally planned. From La Jolla I drove to Balboa Island, a tiny little island, with not much more than a shopping streets and lots of boats. It reminded me of some little southwest airlines home Dutch town. After some frozen yoghurt I headed to Huntington Beach, aka USA Surf City. It was a beautiful beach, with a nice pier. As I was walking along the pier, I even saw 2 dolphins jumping in the ocean. And as expected in a Surf City, there was also some surfers, though not too many. From Huntington beach I started following the Pacific Coast Highway, or Highway 1 to Los Angeles.
I had a hostel booked southwest airlines home on Venice Beach and after checking in, I went for a walk, when 5 minutes into my walk I heard a bang behind me. As I turned around it appeared that the woman who had just passed me on her rollerblades had fallen and was bleeding pretty southwest airlines home bad from her head. A few people stopped and we decided to call the ambulance. A bit later a big fire truck arrives with paramedics and another  10 minutes later the ambulance was there. Luckily she never lost consciousness and the bleeding had stopped by the time the fire truck was there, but it was still a kind of scary moment. That night the hostel had a night out planned so we went to a bar called the Bungalow, which was the bar of the Fairmont southwest airlines home hotel. It was a really nice place, with a fire place inside, southwest airlines home a ping-pong table outside, southwest airlines home and a very nice vibe. A few hours (and drinks) later, we ended up in the Jacuzzi of a girl we had met at the bar, for a (way-past) midnight swim. I had a short night sleep ahead of me as I planned to go to Joshua Tree National Park in the morning…
