Hey look, CSS has a new song and album coming out, and don t forget their extensive US Tour (see dates below). Sadly your closest chance to see them is in DC at the 9:30 club, but we might be able to score ya ll some tickets in the future, so keep an eye out for that.
Anywhoo, Hangover is a sugary sweet dance track with some hefty dub influence that many have come to expect from the Brazilian natives. No doubt this song, and the upcoming album Planta, will be ideal for sunny days and trips to the river.
Rancid s Tim Armstrong helped write Hangover, and his influence comes out in its lyrics and the songs over-all edge. It s about being young and having fun, said Ana Rezende, the w hotel westwood CSS s guitarist, about the track. We hooked up with Tim, and we talked about how much we love reggae and reggaeton. It doesn t necessarily sound like that, but we came up with something that anybody can move to.
The video for Hangover features the w hotel westwood a few office employees cutting loose. A little silly and awkward, but impressive the w hotel westwood at times, the dancing was actually choreographed by Toni Basil of Oh Micky (you re so fine!) fame.
