We are driving in from out of state on the Sunday before Memorial Day and have reservations booked for Discovery Cove on Memorial Day. Do you have any hotel recommendations for Sunday night? We re looking for cheap, clean, but safe and family-friendly. There are 4 of us – two adults and 6 and 9 year olds.
Also, we ve got reservations at the Hard Rock starting las vegas car rental agencies on Monday – any tips or issues for checking in after our DC day – probably around 5ish? Are we doomed to the worst rooms due to our late arrival – i.e. not 7am?

Because those are villa arrangements, they may not be the most budget-friendly accommodations around. So my second recommendation is Fairfield Inn Suites Orlando at SeaWorld. It is right around the corner, and the Fairfields in Orlando are just as you asked for inexpensive, clean, safe, and family-friendly. Regarding your question about checking in at Hard Rock Hotel, you shouldn t have any problems arriving at 5pm. And a later arrival doesn t necessarily mean you ll get the worst room that s mostly a function of what room type you reserved, but it is also affected by scheduled check-outs that day, the hotel trying to meet guest requests, etc. Which reminds me, if you have a specific type of request (away from the elevators, high floor), it is always a good idea to call the hotel and get it noted on your reservation ASAP. Also, if you are celebrating something like a birthday, let the hotel know that too.
And just to make sure everything runs super smooth, it is never a bad idea to call the front desk the night before just to make sure your reservation is good to go and to reiterate any of those room requests. To do so, 407-503-7625 and ask for the front desk.
