Our singles cruise group was small but mighty, and as they say, good things do come in small packages.  Our adventurous bunch became like a big family on vacation together and we all even fit into one big table in the dining north carolina mountain vacation rentals room. This was great fun because we all really got to know each other.
The weather was quite interesting.  When we left Southampton, England, it was raining and really cold and you couldn t see where we were going as the fog was thick. It stayed that way for two days as we headed to Madeira, our first port, and then the sun came out and the temperature was about 80. What a beautiful place this island was, the local folks were so warm and friendly. It was interesting north carolina mountain vacation rentals to see how they farmed on a very steep island.  The fishing villages were also great it was all really beautiful.
The weather stayed great for the next three ports in the Canaries. Each of these islands were very unique. Tenerife is home to a 14,000 ft. volcano and some beautiful north carolina mountain vacation rentals beaches. Gran Canaria was very busy with its big port city of Las Palmas. It was fun to walk around north carolina mountain vacation rentals and go to the local beach. If you ever wanted to know what walking on the moon would be like, visit Lanzerote. What an interesting place, a small island with so many volcanoes that the terrain looks just like the moon!  As we toured the island, it was cool to see how the people lived, worked and even farmed on land that doesn t see much rain at all, and where water is an expensive luxury. Now I can cross walking on the moon off my bucket list!
