Denver is one of the most expensive destinations in the United States to rent a car, according to a new survey sports tours unlimited from CheapCarRental.net . That honor went to Oregon's sports tours unlimited capital city, Portland. There, travelers had to pay $86 per rental day, on average, at the Pick-up counter. This figure made car rentals in Portland over 300 percent more expensive than in Philadelphia, where the cheapest cars rent for $19 a day. New York City ranked ranked second costliest on the survey. With a per-day rate of $83, New York City came in only a few dollars cheaper than Portland. Boston ranked third and Chicago fifth. Florida is an especially sports tours unlimited ripe state for car rentals: Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Orlando are the three cheapest cities, according to the survey, and Miami is fifth.
