My wife and I got married right after I entered Marine Corps. Our honeymoon consisted of the drive from North Carolina to Washington state when I was assigned to my first duty station. My mom died 10 months ago, and my life is still in shambles. This month would ve been her 61st birthday. I vowed to go away someplace beautiful in her honor, because she never got to travel much she was too busy taking care of her family.
