The entire tour generally lasts six days and takes you around 1300-1500 miles from the starting point (so plan on about a 3,000 mile round trip). I didn't bother shooting many of the later models (there were plenty of late-model Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Challengers, etc. so you don't have to drive an old vehicle) since there were so many "interesting" rides and most of these were long haulers.
Here is the '69 Nova that won the Optima hertz car rent autocross event. He handily dispatched the Lingenfelter Corvette, the ZL1, the Laguna Seca, the Boss 302, the turbo Supra, the WRX STI, the Gallardo (although it came in second), the AAR 'Cuda, and many more. I didn't capture his best run, but you get a sense of an "old" car with a good driver and setup....
I would really like to do this again next year. Since the Mustang is running / driving good I will be dedicating hertz car rent my time to working on the Caddy. If it is ready by next year I would like to take it on the tour.
