I'm never very good at picking favorites like that.  If we're talking about outside the US, then I may have to go with London .  It's not overwhelming like New York is to me, but there is so much going on.  And the history is just fantastic.  I don't know if it's my favorite city because that's so hard to pick, but it is the city outside the US where I feel most comfortable and where I love returning.
There are so many that instantly come to mind.  I think walking through Red Square spa vacation packages in Moscow as a high schooler in the early 1990s has to be high on the list.  Waking up with the animals on a safari in Botswana is another.  Oh, and going to Cuba (legally) was another.  But the best of all had to be in 2002 when I had the chance to fly Concorde from London to New York.  That was indescribably awesome.
The two countries spa vacation packages that come to mind are pretty similar to the US: England and New Zealand. spa vacation packages I've already talked about my affinity for the UK above, but I had a very similar feeling in New Zealand even though I was in Auckland for just a few days.  It may not sound adventurous, but I can't pick where I feel comfortable.  It just happens.
Iceland .  No, I'm kidding.  I went there in college and almost had a heart attack when I saw that even a McDonald's value meal was over $10.  (No, I didn't eat there.  We couldn't even afford that.)  There isn't actually a place that comes to mind as being a particularly amazing value.
I don't think of any one country as being particularly dangerous, but I definitely had some nerve-wracking experiences in Mexico, Brazil, and South Africa.  Nothing too serious, spa vacation packages but I just didn't feel comfortable.
It's the ability to put myself in a completely different spa vacation packages place.  It helps put things in perspective.  If you don't get to experience things yourself, you'll never understand them.  You'll probably just fear them and there's way too much of that in the world.
Slovenia.  I saw a picture of the bluest river I've ever seen in an LA Times feature many years ago.  In 2004 I went there and spent a week and couldn't believe what an incredible place it was.  The blue Soca River was even better in person.  There were alpine lakes, old cities, wine country, and a small coastline all within a couple hours.  It was a stunning country and the people were so friendly.
I'm actually not a huge travel book reader, but one giant exception is Bill Bryson.  Though it's hard to pick a favorite, I think A Walk in the Woods may very well be it.  He can write about nothing spa vacation packages at all it'll still grab me.  Another book that has stuck with me over the years is Alain de Botton's The Art of Travel .  A friend gave it to me when it first came out and I loved it.
I just try to adjust to the time zone as early as I can by getting into a pattern.  I never understood why airlines serve dinner on flights from the US to Europe.  When they serve it, it's the middle of the night.  So what I try to do is sleep earlier (not that I'm good at that) and then have breakfast before arrival.  Then I make sure to stay up until a normal bedtime, no matter how difficult that may be.
