Probably cheap rental car not the same dog but an earlier post said a hunting dog seen running towards Pernera, but had some red colouring. I feel for you I would hate to lose one of my dogs, Hope she turns up safe and well.
you said she went missing near larnaca town centre but she's been in the aradippou area for 10 days, since the day after she went missing. sounds like she's trying to find her way home? do you live in that general area? might help if people knew her ultimate destination in general terms?
The theory is that she was stolen by a hunter who tried her out the following day in the Forest area behind the police station and then just turned her loose when he found out she was useless at hunting. She was seen that afternoon, lying near the police station. There have now been several more sightings of her in the last few days in the Aradippou/Rizoelia Forest area. So she's still there, and she's still on the loose, and doesn't seem to be making any attempt to find her own way home.

Dogs have an innate ability to find their way home over very long distances, as I'm sure you know. She's only got to go 5km. I walked back from Aradippou to Larnaca yesterday evening just to get a feel for how far it is. It took me about 2 hours and I was walking pretty slowly as I was exhausted myself. So if I can do it, I'm sure she can. The great mystery is why she hasn't.
Now that there have been more confirmed sightings I've switched my undivided attention back to the Aradippou area, searching for her every day. I'm desperate to find her and bring her back home before she goes back to the state she was in when I found her 6 years ago:
I do understand your concern, I would be out of my mind if one of my dogs went missing, Have you put posters up and maybe go in for a chat with the police there in case they see her hanging around again. My hubby and I can go there on Sunday and have a look around the area. I do hope you find her and she stays safe in the meantime. She looks terrible in the photo taken when you found her and it would be awful for her to get like that again, lets hope she makes her way home or someone finds her. Keep us posted. l
