With Delta Airlines having recently disclosed that its flight attendants will - with effect from August 26 - start using Windows Phone 8-based Nokia Lumia 820 handsets to take orders for in-flight purchases, Microsoft finally has a huge, super-recognizable brand, enterprise user of its Windows Phone platform.
Though it is difficult to say exactly how many Lumia 820 handset units have been purchased by Delta Airlines, the airline and Microsoft have said in an announcement that the handsets will be used by Delta's global team of more than 19,000 kelly blue book for travel trailers flight attendants.
However, Technet blog, and also the post to theOfficial Microsoft Blog and the Windows Phone Blog, has drawn attention to the fact that the mentioned `19,000' figure pertains to Delta's flight attendants who will be using Lumia 820 handsets, and not the number of handsets actually sold by Microsoft kelly blue book for travel trailers to Delta.
Nonetheless, despite the fact that the 19,000 headline number of Lumia 820s purchased by Delta is somewhat unrealistic, especially in the wake of the fact that all flight attendants are not on duty at the same time, Delta's mass buy of the handsets still marks an impressive sale for both Microsoft and Nokia.
