Thought it would be noisy but it was very quiet. All the beds were very comfortable except one K on 2nd floor on sound side. Only a few complaints. Pool deck is in need of desperate repair/replacement. All the kids got splinters and one got a nail. Some of the rockers were broke. Lots of dishes for serving and baking. We ate all our meals in. Also the tables are crowded in the dining area. Too big for the area. The only suggestions or concerns we had were the carpets throughout the house that we thought should be replaced and the wood decking that would benefit from the new paint that coats wood decking and makes it like new.
Sail away was perfect for the event, with plenty of room for dining, a game room and film room, swimming in the pool, basking in the hot tub, strolls on the beach, excursions into Beaufort, and sunset watching.

There are two dishwashers in the very large kitchen. The cabinets are stocked with plenty of glassware and cookware. Our growing family has vacationed at Emerald Isle for about 20 years. I'm the oldest of six children, some of whom have been coming here since childhood. Now we're all married, with children (two of whom have spouses) and even a grandchild. This home accommodated alamo car rental canada 4 generations beautifully, and is my favorite, by far. It's hard to find fault with an oceanfront home that has a fabulous oceanfront pool and hot tub, as well as a home theater. The kitchen was well equipped (service for almost 40!), with two dishwashers and seating for about 22. From the kitchen, you could view the sound and turn around to view the ocean...just perfect. I almost don't want to mention how much we loved this house for fear that it will always be booked when we want to use it again.
