Lauren Fish is the Boston Editor for Miss A and a Coldwell Banker Agent in Massachusetts. With many years of PR and marketing experience, Lauren decided to put her local experience and connections to work as a voice in the Boston Charity scene.
This past weekend, the   Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), New England Chapter ,  took more than 200 guests on a Fete of Food and Wine – an epicurean tour around the world at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston . Festivities began with a Spanish Champagne reception which concluded with honoring the Humanitarian of the Year, Joshua R. Korzenik, MD , Director of the Crohn’s and Colitis Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Man of the Year, Douglas A. King , Managing Principal of Douglas A. King Builders, Inc. Both gave heartfelt speeches that really brought home the reason for attending the event and funding the Foundation.
The journey continued through the kitchen with live cooking demonstrations and into the main reception room with an array of delectable international cuisines paired with extraordinary wines and liquors from  different regions.
This event commemorated 44 years since the founding of the New England Chapter. The mission of the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Funds raised through the Fete of Food and Wine will support strategic research initiatives, educational programs and support groups.
