Collins Avenue in Miami, think block after block full of high rise designer hotels, The Shore Club, SLS, W, Delano, The Setai, the list goes on on. There s one hotel that I found in December just off Collins Avenue that s a perfect little beach hotel. This is Townhouse, originally built in the 30 s you just have to walk a few minutes down the road to find the beach. Designed by one my all time favourite interior designers,  India Mahdavi . The hotel is part Art Deco style with a modern twist on hospitality. There is a gorgeous rooftop bar Bond Street Lounge in the basement, Miami s outpost of the famed New York sushi restaurant. With 69 bedrooms 2 penthouses, you d be surprised how relaxed cheap travel to mexico and calm the hotel is. Townhouse really came alive the next morning. In usual LWSY style, I was up at the crack of dawn to have my usual sneak peek around the hotel before everyone else woke up. You can either sit in the beautiful conservatory, flooded with that heavenly Miami sunshine,  each table with some hazelnut spread jams, or simply grab a tray, stack high with your stash of muffins, use the takeaway cups for your drinks. Kew run back to the lift without anyone seeing how much you ve taken. Note Partner in crime was most grateful for her breakfast in bed. The roof terrace is really very sweet, it was a shame not to have seen it the night before, but early morning I had the place to myself (yes I did a few jumps of glee to be in Miami finally), where was the sea? which way to look with my 360 views?! I was excited for my day ahead.

Although the hotel is lacking swimming pool, I guess it s not the most important amenity, especially when you re in town for work, who s got time to use the pool?!!
