This award is given to hotels that merit special recognition for successfully completing major modernization and improvement projects during the past year. The New Hampshire based-hotel owner/operators will be honored at the 2013 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Las Vegas from Oct. 28-30.
The property, a former Fairfield Inn, was renovated to better suit the needs of today's business travelers and was reopened as a Holiday Inn Express & Suites in November. The multi-million dollar renovation yielded updated guestrooms and bathrooms, a modernized lobby, expanded business center car rental discount deals lowest and an Express Star Breakfast Bar. A fitness center, pool and patio were added to the property. The building's traditional New England exterior was preserved while landscaping and a portico were constructed to enhance its facade.
"We were able to completely revitalize the hotel from top to bottom by improving the property's architecture and design scheme," said David Roedel, partner of Roedel Companies. "The Holiday Inn Express & Suites gives visitors to the area a new option with tremendous value."
The hotel is owned/operated by New Hampshire-based Roedel Companies. ROK Builders, the hotel construction affiliate of Roedel Companies, oversaw the renovation. RGH Hospitality, the hotel management subsidiary of Roedel Companies, is running the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Group One Partners, Inc. served as architect, RSJ Associates as interior designer, and Kahn & Bayer as structural engineer.
