"Star Wars" fans don't have to wait for the Millennium Falcon to make a pit stop in their hometown to make dreams of traveling with Chewbacca come true. And if you prefer the Sith side of life, Disney has you covered too.
While a vacation to Endor or Bespin may have to wait, fans can still take a trip with their favorite Jedi, Sith Lord, bounty hunter and Wookiee on Disney Cruise Line's Star Wars Day at Sea, beginning in 2016.
"As the first official appearance phoenix hotel rates of the heroes and villains of Star Wars aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, Star Wars Day at Sea combines the power of the Force and the magic of Disney," according to the Disney Cruise Line website .
Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers and other characters will be onboard for scheduled meet and greets, as well as roaming on deck for photo ops with fans. Guests are also encouraged to cosplay as their favorite characters.
Fans can also expect "Star Wars"-themed activities for kids including arts and crafts and trivia games. The ship will also host the very popular Jedi Training Academy experience, which invites young Padawans to learn lightsaber moves from a Jedi Master, and then face a final test against Darth Vader himself.
For the adults, the ship's nightclub will be redecorated to look like the Mos Eisley cantina with various scum and villainy in attendance. "Star Wars" specialty cocktails will be served with cantina music setting the mood. Just don't shoot first.
Guests will also be treated to the first six "Star Wars" films as well as episodes of the animated series "Star Wars Rebels." Yet to be announced "Star Wars" celebrities will be on board to share their behind-the-scenes stories, meet fans and sign autographs.
"Star Wars characters converge on the deck stage for a celebration of the Star Wars saga in a show featuring special effects and guest participation," according to StarWars.com . "The deck party culminates in a spectacular display of themed pyrotechnics, phoenix hotel rates lighting, sound effects, lasers and Star Wars."
