We were thinking Barcelona, Monte Carlo, small ship cruises to alaska Paris and a few cities in Italy including Bellagio. The more I am looking into it, the less feasible it seems. Alloting 2-3 days for each area we could probably only see 4 or 5 places.
I think it's wonderful that you ask and seem open to the idea that you will be told to slow down. Most people small ship cruises to alaska come here, ask questions like yours, and then get miffed when everyone tells them not to attempt so much.
From Barcelona, you could travel eastward small ship cruises to alaska and base somewhere, and tour an area, such as the Luberon, or if you love art, head to the French Riviera and the many great art museums and designated artists' museums. While there, you could visit Monte Carlo. Again, end in Paris.
Other than liking architecture and believing that you want to get jammed up in the preposterous Disney World-sized small ship cruises to alaska crowds that flood Versailles, what interests you about Europe and what do you really want out of the vacation? There are many architecturally interesting places and styles throughout Europe and defining what architecture interests you would also help (Classical? Gothic? Baroque? Modern socialistic heinous from Le Courbusier?).
if you want your honeymoon to be a relaxing one, then try and limit yourself to only 3 destinations. Resist the urge to relocate at all costs. (The urge will be GREAT!) Regardless of where you go, i would advise keeping Paris the final stop of your journey. It's plenty romantic and unlikely to be surpassed by other cities
I'll add my vote for tuscanlifeedit's plan - minus the day trips from Paris (at least don't plan on any until you're actually there and can honestly say to yourself "I've seen enough of Paris - time to get out of town").
Two weeks in Italy would be more of my personal idea of a honeymoon. I found Venice to be heart wrenchingly beautiful and there is something very sensual about the Tuscan air. I know this is the Paris forum, but that's my point of view....
I would go to Paris, Bellagio area which is on Lake Como - really beautiful breath-taking small ship cruises to alaska scenary, without doubt Venice, and a few days in Tuscany to enjoy the beautiful small ship cruises to alaska countryside and visit some of its medieval towns or cities. Alternatively omit Tuscany and head to the French Riviera if that is your preference. I would use low cost airline - Ryan Air or Easyjet - to travel from Paris to French Riviera (airports in Nice, Genoa, etc) or to Venice or a tuscan city which has an airport, like Pisa.
Top destinations from your list would be Paris and Venice, as these 2 cities are by far the most romantic. Paris has SO much to offer, and Venice is just unique in every way...although small ship cruises to alaska quite expensive small ship cruises to alaska as well.
