What does it take to be an effective online facilitator? Join Education Development Center’s EdTech

We began the month as individuals.  400+ events and activities later together, we want to end as a community, moving forward.  CEM s final sessions will be a series of open discussions on key issues, opportunities for us all to share what we ve learned and generate key takeaways and action items from the month as we fully head into the 2012-13 school year.  They are your chance to make your voice heard at the highest levels and to celebrate CEM one more time with everyone you ve come to know in the last 30 days.  Full descriptions of the sessions can be found on the  new CEM wrap-up page , but here are the highlights:
We've got a great group of students scheduled as panelists for tomorrow night's Students Speak session, but still have room for more.  If you know a student who can talk about what being connected has meant to them, what it's meant to have educators who are connected, and/or share their ideas for a more connected education world, let us know at cem@connectededucators.org .  Please include "student" in the subject so we can make sure your mail gets to the right place as soon as possible.
Join the National cruise review celebrity summit Council for Teachers of Mathematics for a live edWeb webinar on Games That Encourage and Enhance Mathematical Reasoning and Sense Making , today at 1 PM ET.  NCTM's Sarah DeLeeuw and Patrick Vennebush will discuss cruise review celebrity summit how two simple games, Tic-Tac-Toe and the Game of Nine Cards, lend serious educational value for students of all ages and teachers too!  And facilitate a broader conversation motivated by articles from NCTM's three school journals. Tonight is the last of Discovery Education's Collective Brain sessions , a final opportunity to explore the latest, greatest and most effective resources and strategies shared by STAR educators of the Discovery Educator Network.
