You already know that we believe in angels. We talk about them all the time. Raffy here in Moalboal is totally, new orleans haunted hotels but totally, totally one. Victor from Melaka, Malaysia was too. (I haven t written about him just yet.) And the old, old lady from Kampot, Cambodia was. She was just shining in her angel-light . (You ll want to see the pictures . You can see the light in her eyes.)
There are others who we randomly met or were introduced to us that created a chain of events that brought us great blessings . One such meeting was Daniel from Food Playground , who was introduced to us this crazy, new orleans haunted hotels hysterical night through Jason at Pillows and Toast in Singapore , who introduced us to Michael, new orleans haunted hotels who connected us with Nina, who put us in touch with Grace and crew, Lena and staff, and Pham and family. new orleans haunted hotels Needless to say, following this is about as clear as my sister s neighbor s boss s cousin s second wife, but trust me, for us who are living it, we see the lines connecting and witness the star-sparks with awe .
Three down, and three to go, and let me just tell you, THEY ARE HEAVEN! We have never felt so spoiled, pampered, and cared for in high-class luxury as we did staying in the HPL Hotels. Hallelujah brother, this is the life!
You know our financial considerations and how budget we ve gotten to afford traveling for longer. You know we slept in an RV , a tent , a bar (but just that one night), a whore house (we didn t know!), new orleans haunted hotels a shack on a pier with no water or electricity, in an indigenous village in the Ecuadorian jungle, and now, all we have to look forward to is at least one night under a bridge. (The two posts that reflect our creative home-solutions best are:
And so, being spoiled in HPL Hotels has been beyond words amazing. It s like in Survivor when someone new orleans haunted hotels has been ousted off the tribe and they take that first hot shower and you see them take that deep sigh. Yeah, that s it. HPL Hotels new orleans haunted hotels have been for us that sigh. Between dump to budget hole to mid-class comfortable to intolerable how-did-we-end-up-here-again to cosmic-dust-has-settled-again normal, there has been HPL Hotels, and God, have we loved them.
And so, as you follow our adventure and watch us go from pig sty to lap of luxury, new orleans haunted hotels know that it is the angels who put us there and that every, single, solitary moment has been cherished to no end. So, yes, we promised to review their establishments and share our experiences, but guess what? We had no idea we d fall so madly with these amazingly, kind, gracious people, new orleans haunted hotels these high managers new orleans haunted hotels and cleaning men and women, these cooks and waiters, and kid s club staff, and front desk clerks who became faces of angels and love and kindness and extreme patience to our very noisy, curious family.
Or that moment when Shane took that prized pin off his Hard Rock ribbon and placed it on Solai s neck (Penang) right before we zipped off into that cab and almost missed our bus ride. [May have been a good thing considering that three and a half hour bus ride took only eight and a half hours , but I guess that made The Lakehouse's welcoming ginger tea and cooling towels that much more heavenly.] That moment makes us still today, get all choked up, and we can t give that to you, as I wish we could.
So, we ll keep putting one foot in front of the other one, walking and being grateful, ridiculously so . So, when you see us in luxury, as you will from time to time, be so very happy for us, and join us as we listen to Orazi describe how, this guy came and pushed the chair in for me, and then he put the napkin in my lap for me, and then he poured the milk into my cereal, and then, and then, he asked me if I needed anything else, and when I tried to get some more of those little muffins in the buffet, he served it for me and followed me back to the table, carrying it for me, and then [King's Lounge, Hard Rock Hotel- Penang, Malaysia].
Contrast this to the education we get when the kids would see their best friends around the globe missing school this day or that one cuz they had to go work . This, also, is an education. A pretty well-rounded one if you ask me!
PS: What s the deal with the song? You have to guess which song it is dears. You know me. I adore falling hysterically in love with a new song about every month or so and this is it. It s on repeat and I m dancing like a drunk Vietnamese at a wedding between every other paragraph. LOVE IT! They are so amazing. And I love you! And King, this super-smart Filipino boy here, who just signed at me I love you and we both know what that means . This little 8-year old is quickly carving a place deep in my heart.
