Forever. They can t seem to accept that fact, and bad mouth every new-build with some pathetic comment harboring back to the good old days of this broken down ship from 1970-something, or that long lost rust bucket that was beached in Alang or Turkey a decade ago because NO ONE wanted it any more. Hell, they couldn t even save the Norway, and she was an maritime icon.
So, go ahead all the haters and whiners, have your jab at the new floating apartment block of the seas. Just know that they are here to stay, and that no mass market cruise line will ever build small cruise ships like what you re wanting. It s just not economically feasible for them. And it s not what the vast majority of ALL consumers want these days.
But in the mean time, go ahead, watch all those Love Boat episodes and cry me a river that the last of them will soon be scrap metal. As for me, I m ready to do another Royal Princess back-to-back, spend another week on Allure of the Seas, or discover something new and exciting in 2015 like the Anthem of the Seas.
