Excellent hotel in an excellent location. There is a bit of roadwork outside installing new light rail lines, but over the weekend when I stayed it wasn't an issue other than a bit of inconvenience getting dropped off/picked up due to minimal room
to pull up in front. Aside from that (which wasn't docked from the hotel rating), everything was very good. Friendly staff, clean, spacious room with full (albeit small) kitchen, sofa, and great view. Would highly recommend and will defintely stay again if/when back in Charlotte!
This is a really nice hotel within walking distance of the convention center and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It's also close to the mass transit list tom cruise movie bus terminal so you can get a ride to and from the airport in a nice, clean city bus for $2 each way. The

The last night of my stay they were working round the clock so I was awakened at 3:00 am to the sound of jackhammers outside my window. Obviously, this isn't the fault of the hotel or its staff, but I would check to make sure the construction is complete before booking a room there again.
