A Sevier County Sheriff's sergeant stopped a car driving on Interstate 70 for speeding. The driver, a 32-year-old man from Las Vegas, told the officer the car was a rental car rental search and he was not the one who had rented it, according to sheriff's office news release.
The man's story about the rental car fell apart once the officer asked him to call the supposed renter, the release said. A drug dog called car rental search to the scene indicated there was something in the trunk of the car. Police found six suitcases, all containing vacuum sealed packages that tested for marijuana, according to the release.
