HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE returns on a new night for the show and it acts as a lead in for a brand new reality TV program on Travel Channel, that might just seem familiar. RESORT RESCUE, starring New Zealand-born hospitality expert sports ticket broker Shane Green debuts immediately after Melchiorri s show on October 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Using strategically placed hidden cameras, Green travels across the country on a mission to help ailing hotel and resort sports ticket broker owners figure out what’s going wrong inside their establishments, and how to turn things around. In a behind-the-scenes room, Green sits down with each of the owners and shows them why their resort is in bad shape. Once the major issues are discussed, he snaps into action and shows the staff how to create a top-notch resort.
No one is saying that there isn t a place for two separate TV shows about problematic hotels and the men who can fix them, aired back-to-back on the same network, but is there enough of an audience to support both?
Here s the concern on our part. Anthony Melchiorri primed the pump for the past four seasons, gaining popularity and worming his way into the heart of viewers. He convinced us that no one does it better. How do we warm up to the new guy when he does what Melchiorri does, with a different accent?
