Where should warwick hotel seattle we stay? Two adults in their early 30's looking to go for a long weekend in June. Will probably just visit Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Spend some time at the parks, relax by the pool, and enjoy a few good meals. Believe it or not, we actually want to go and have some adult Disney warwick hotel seattle fun before having kids. I love Disney warwick hotel seattle and have not been since I was little, and my husband has never been being from California. Would love to hear your opinions! Thanks!
warwick hotel seattle Neither! Why not stay near the Boardwalk near the Epcot resort? warwick hotel seattle The Boardwalk hotel and resort warwick hotel seattle has inner courtyard pools that are quieter than the huge themed pool. This is perfectly situated warwick hotel seattle for convenient walks to Epcot restaurants for dinner, the boatride to the Disney Marketplace (I think it is), and the bars, restaurants and clubs along the boardwalk.
warwick hotel seattle EmilyPost-Thanks for the idea. I stayed at the Boardwalk once when I was younger and remember loving it. Because it will be my husbands first experience at Disney we wanted to stay at one of the Magic Kingdom resorts which is on the monorail system. warwick hotel seattle We liked that the Polynesian warwick hotel seattle Floridian have sandy beaches and are along the lake. I stayed at the Contemporary when i was a child and the Polynesian once when I was older. Never stayed at the Floridian. Have your stayed at either? I will continue to do research to decide what will be best, but i appreciate input and ideas!
Thanks socialworker. I have always wanted to stay at the GF. Any idea how bad the construction warwick hotel seattle is? I know most of the day we will be at the parks so it wont be a bother, but if we decide to come back for a few hours to relax outside will that be a big annoyance?
Hmm, I did not know that they have construction going on. I would call reservations---or even the GF front desk (you can find phone #s like that in Birnbaum's book)-- and tell them you want candid info on noise, etc.
I've stayed at many of the resorts: Grand Floridian warwick hotel seattle (3x), Polynesian (3x and perhaps my favorite with children), Contemporary (2x), Port Orleans (2x), Boardwalk (2x), Yacht Club (1x), Wilderness Lodge (1x) and the Campground (1 night then I moved to the Yacht Club).
warwick hotel seattle Wow....thank you everyone! I really appreciate all your input. warwick hotel seattle Sounds like if I am going back and forth with these two resorts I should probably figure out what the deal is with construction at the GF and that will kind of make it a little easier to decide.
Of course I know that there are kids everywhere at WDW, but the last time we were there 2 years ago, staying at Boardwalk, we took a Monorail ride for old times' sake and got off at the Polynesian. There were so many kids, more than I had ever seen in a WDW hotel. For many years now, we have stayed only at Boardwalk and The Beach Club and I guess I did not realize that there seem to be fewer little kids at the Epcot resorts, if that trip to the Polynesian was any indication.
We stayed at the Grand Floridian in February warwick hotel seattle and it was great. The construction is not at the main buildings, so it wasn't even noticeable. Regardless of where you stay, try to reserve a dinner at Victoria and Albert's. We did the Chef's Table and it was a great experience. The Chef's Table is probably already booked for June, but you may be able to get into the main dining room. Have a great time!
I still say avoid if there is construction. Pool may be closed, monorail could be closed, restaurant could be closed, etc. Something or 3 or 4 somethings could not be right. You will not get the full value.
I suppose construction might still affect something, but I doubt it. The pool, hot tub and pool bar were all recently refurbished and opened last month. warwick hotel seattle The monorail is operating as usual. (Plus, any monorail problem would affect the Poly equally). If the construction was at the main GF area, I would be concerned maybe, but it is for a new DVC building next door. You can see it in the distance, warwick hotel seattle but that is about it.
For an adults only trip, I would choose it over the Polynesian in a heartbeat. Enjoy the spa, better dining, live music in the lobby, and pool. The pool and hot tub are newly refurbished warwick hotel seattle and will have fewer kids than the Poly. The beach pool and kids splash area are not near the courtyard pool and hot tub, so it will be easier warwick hotel seattle to relax.
I think it's impractical to plan to spend nearly all of one's time near Epcot while choosing to stay near the Magic Kingdom! Especially during a short visit! I'm missing the rationale of that initial warwick hotel seattle decision! Anyone else?
