Any birthday celebrations at resort? I am a disney addict We are going for my birthday this year in October and i'm so excited and staying at SSR. Do the resorts have anything or do anything special to recognize birthdays ?

It is really hit and miss, even at the same resort. I go every year for my bday. I will often get a photo card from Mickey. It used to be personalized, but not lately. But the time I noted a big bday on my reservation, I got nothing.
Sometimes people will get balloons as well as the card, or be hit with even more pixie dust. But if you really want something to happen, I would suggest ordering something from the florist/gift service.

Never guaranteed though - We surprised my daughter with a trip the Contemporary for her 9th birthday. I'd had a great chat with the CM when I made the reservations - and when we arrived at 1 am, the poor desk clerk checking us had to call a manager, because the room we were assigned wasn't matching up with our reservation - we'd been upgraded to a wonderful tower room.

We've never had a 'celebration' recognized at any resort we've stayed at where we had it on our reservation. This includes anniversaries and birthdays. I wouldn't count on it. It could happen and then it would be a nice surprise for you!
We stayed at BC over DH bday 2 years ago. When we got to the room there was a chocolate bar bouquet, and a Happy Birthday from Captain Jack Sparrow poster. He also got a signed card from Mickey on the actual day of. , and here's hoping you get a nice surprise!

I wouldn't mind a jack sparrow poster I think Johnny Depp is a hottie lol
