As noted they are considerably more accurate, especially in terms of the actual aircraft. The aircraft were done using aircraft CAD drawings. The flight deck windows actually look like the aircraft windows etc. The old ones were just "guesses" hampton inn savannah as to wing size and location.
Unfortunately the seat map for the B764 still shows that there are two lavatories next to the forward hampton inn savannah galleys in BE class when you are booking a flight. In fact they are both at the rear of the BE cabin. I'm surprised that this hasn't been corrected yet as this mistake was also on the old web site and I have informed DL about this more than once. If you bring up the seat map for the B764 on a flight to LHR for example, it shows this; however if you bring up the seat map in the aircraft section on the web site, it has the correct configuration! Next DL needs to update hampton inn savannah the seat maps on the App; for example the B744 still shows the old BE seats, hampton inn savannah not the new direct-aisle access flat-bed seats. [Edited 2012-11-10 09:04:46] [Edited 2012-11-10 09:05:13] [Edited 2012-11-10 09:06:23]
Contrary to what airliner371 feels about a seat map, trust me it is an important feature when you sit in one for 100K miles of travel per year, and the enhanced features of these seat maps will be very helpful to many.
Overall, I like the new look and functionally with the exception of the SkyMiles log in.....unable to tab through to name.....requires 2 separate entries to enter name and for a display. Needs to be corrected so that you tab through password to name and enter.
hampton inn savannah Key phrase is "most people." hampton inn savannah Some people do, especially the frequent flyers and the passengers giving DL lots of business. By improving the seat map, DL has catered to both sets of fliers. The ones who don't really care still get to view the basic seat map, and the ones who care more get their information as well.
While it's all kind of pretty and fancy, unless the underlying technology was fixed this is all marketing and little substance. A bigger win would have been to fix the booking engine as stated on their latest commercial... and the award booking functionality... stuff that really matters to the customer.
The "Sort By" needs fixed so we can pre select how the user wants flights sorted. That should be added to the main page. It needs to keep that sort type instead of changing back to "Best Match" (whatever that means) every time the page is refreshed.
Number of Stops should include a specific limit such as "Non", 1 or 2 instead of showing 2 stop flights when the user only wants Non or 1 stop flights displayed. If you want more then be able to select that option too; when going to Vegas from West Palm Beach (via Atlanta), I like to take the 777 via Los Angeles which is 2 stops.
Overall, my point is reduce the number of mouse clicks, page refreshes and wasted time spent when searching while adding useful information that is otherwise embedded in extra mouse click panels. Maybe Delta will take the time and effort hampton inn savannah to make it easier to use.
To "questions" from Australia: per Delta (it worked for me) your password must contain one capital letter. If that doesn't work, call them. The lady was quite helpful hampton inn savannah to me. Must have been a USA based call center I got.
I like the design and placement of things, but I think they took a step back with some of the fonts. It looks very 90's with the font. I big change for Delta, which has been on the forefront of style and marketing in the last 5 years.
Quoting Birdwatching ( Reply 3 ): Like I said on the other thread on the same subject, I think even before today Delta.com was better than any other US legacy airline's web site. AA and US are horrible.
What can I ask is so bad about US's site? I know the AA one is an unorganized mess and is ancient in terms of UI and layout, but what's wrong with the US site? It seems pretty decently laid out, the ability to see all the flights and possible connections and their prices all at once while searching is great, seat selection is alright, everything is just filling in boxes. It isn't exactly rocket surgery to figure out any airline website really..
