Brian, I would park at Heathrow and take the National Express coach to Southampton from the Airport bus stop. This costs aroud £15, takes a couple of hours and is bookable on-line. They run throughout the day.
A 'Shuttle' (shared van ride) is the cheapest way to get from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. Firms like 'Super-Shuttle' will give you an on-line quote. I recall the ride is about an hour, so is not cheap as such.
Normally I would suggest that you investigate booking 'cruise only' and book your own flight, via Expedia kansas city discount hotels (or similar). You can often save a lot of money. If you DIY you would be wise to stay over for one night pre-cruisestay in Miami of Fort Lauderdale. There are many hotels including cheaper ones.

If you take your luggage just leave it with the Concierge, a small tip when you leave will suffice and spend your time around the pool or lounge. That is much better than the airport. There is no charge. Thinking about it I would suggest the return trip back to Southampton because it's better coming off a red-eye to have someone do the first bit of driving whilst you keep your head down . ....Your choice ......Neil

Brian before you book with Iglu, check cruise dot on here and ask because it is a long way from Fort Lauderdale to Miami and RCI do offer flights and transfers and I am sure that is available with cruise dot. Just check.

No, in Miami I am not suggesting that you have a day room unless you want one of course. We find that we can rest, read a book, have some drinks and or food whilst sitting around the pool or in the lounge. In the States it is fine just to be there at a hotel for a day without a day room. It isn't a problem for them.
I would suggest that if you intend to stay the night at an hotel that you consider looking at the Heathrow hotels and their parking and charges. At that time of the year you can often get several days free and pay for the others. You will have the morning and part afternoon kansas city discount hotels to get down to Southampton. Just do some some checking. It might be as well to check to see if they are offering free parking at Southampton for this cruise. .......Neil
The cheapest way to get from Miami to Fort Lauderdale airport kansas city discount hotels is to rent a small car for the day. We paid $35 in April and the drive was very easy. Car rental is very cheap in Florida and there are various companies near the port. I stayed with the cases while my husband fetched the car. You could do some sightseeing during the day, or visit Sawgrass Mills, an enormous outlet mall near Fort Lauderdale.
Totally agree with car rental. Most of the big rental kansas city discount hotels companies have depots at both Fort Lauderdale and Miami airport so you can pick the car up at one and drop it off at the other. If you book ahead they'll arrange to collect you at the port and take you to your car. You'll have your luggage safely in the boot too. The drive to Miami airport is less than an hour, just remember to print off some driving directions to the car drop off point.
If in no rush you may be able to delay flights back for a few days and spend sometime in Florida, would normal say book with RCCL we have and delayed our flights by five days and went to Orlando. As someone has said car hire is cheap, if you have sailed with RCCL before you'll find them very helpful, other option RCCL will do a tour in the area then drop you at the airport in time for your flight.
