So, funny story, the only reason I really wanted to stay at this hotel was its reference to the Muffin Man. You know the one who lives on Drury lane? I only had to do a pass through hertz rent a car franchise so I wasn t worried about not liking it. Stupid reason I know. So when I was looking at hotels in the St. Louis area it popped up.
I am happy to report though, that the hotel was nice. And, the price couldn t be beat! The lobby was awesome and check-in went by without a hitch. My room was clean and had just been renovated so everything was new and shiny. The bathrooms had stone countertops which made me squeal with excitement. It really doesn t take much to excite me, give me a pretty bathroom and I m yours. And free stuff! You can bet my bag was stuffed of that. I took a nice long bubble bath and thoroughly enjoyed my Pantene shampoo and conditioner.
The flat screen TV was huge, and you can watch high definition channels. I tried not to use it though, otherwise I would have never gotten to sleep and back on the road where I needed to be. It had high speed internet, but I didn t feel like dragging my computer out and hooking it up for like an hour of play time.
The word of the day here was free . You get a free continental breakfast, evening cocktails and long distance calls! I would list all the free stuff for you, but I honestly can t remember it and there was so much it would be a little overwhelming. Just ask at the desk at check in.
I only didn t like one thing, and that was the paper thin walls. My neighbors for the night had kids, and as adorable as I m sure they were, I had to stop myself from banging on the wall and demanding silence so I could get some sleep. So I just turned on the tv a little louder then I usually do, and it helped enough for me to go to sleep.
So, I think its safe to say I would definitely stay there again. I didn t have much of a chance to see any of the extras the hotel provided. I m sure they had a pool. But I never saw it. I didn t eat much there, just my breakfast, which was great by the way. I had a muffin!
