New bass player, Wes McClintock of the Paint Movement, joins vocalist/guitarist Will Whitwham, vocal

The Wilderness of Manitoba leaves the winter doldrums behind with a burst of spring activity. The Toronto band recently debuted a song from an upcoming US release, added a new bass player and will soon premiere a new video. Today they are premiering a new single from their third album Island Of Echoes , released san francisco bay area hot tub hotel rooms last fall on Pheromone Recordings and have announced new tour dates in support.
New bass player, Wes McClintock of the Paint Movement, joins vocalist/guitarist Will Whitwham, vocalist/violinist Amanda san francisco bay area hot tub hotel rooms Balsys and drummer Sean Lancaric in time for more Canadian tour dates, SXSW, CMW as part of the Popguru 15th anniversary party and the beginning of a monthly New York residency.  All tour dates are listed below.

In its four year existence, the band has released three albums and toured the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada and the US. The highlights range from their UK live debut at the End of the Road Festival where they received a standing ovation to playing the Philadelphia Folk Festival and meeting Levon Helm; from opening san francisco bay area hot tub hotel rooms for such acts as Cloud Cult, the Head and the Heart, Other Lives and Aimee Mann to performing the WOMAD festival in the UK with artists like Robert Plant. 2013 promises to be just as exciting.
The Wilderness of Manitoba is one of those bands that is constantly evolving. As it starts a new chapter in its creative life, Whitwham explains, "Every band is a collective whose body of work is defined by those involved at certain points in time. I ve often written songs intended for specific people and their strengths." With Amanda Balsys now fully integrated into the Toronto-based band, there is more of an emphasis on their duo lead vocals. Balsys also brings another songwriting voice and a wide range of influences. Lancaric says, "This band always has and always will rely on inspiration to produce anything. New voices start new conversations."
