When they say New York is the city that never sleeps, they're not kidding. The tourists and businesspeople of Lower Manhattan might head home at the end of the day, but then the ghosts and spirits come out to fill the dark and narrow cobblestone streets. What you know as the Financial District is also the home of haunted taverns and gloomy graveyards, where the ghosts of colonists, slaves and pirates, headless horsemen and soldiers linger in the quiet dusk of evening.
