If you do not have a boat, Whitman Hollow has a nice selection of speed boats and pontoons, get your name on one early, as they sell out fast. Once there, you will have city electric and satellite TV. We can easily accomodate four boats, with with high quality cleats, mounted on each side of the house. There is still sufficient space to tie up a couple jet skis, if you are loaded with toys.
The house is fully equipped with dinner service for 14 people, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave, LARGE ref/freezer, blender, central heat/air, Ipod compatible stereo system, w/outside deck speakers, ceiling fans in every room including the front porch. The large front porch is equipped with a gas grill and patio furniture. A paddle boat is also includes and is perfect for cruising around the harbor.
This house has three (3) bedrooms, and two (2) large baths, a queen size sleeper sofa in the great room, along with a double reclining sofa, large overstuffed chair and ottoman. We have a 42" TV, with DVD player and a "old school" game system for the kids. There is also a T.V. in the Master bedroom.
Nothing better than sitting on your front porch and watching the sun rise over the mountains as you plan your daily activites. There are hiking trails, ATV trails, horse back trails, golf courses nearby and naturally, any kind of water sport you can think of.

We have added an 8' slide to our swim platform for enjoyment when not going out on the lake. Great casual dining at the usual fast food places located in town, only 2 and 1/2 miles from the Marina. Also some marinas have restaurants on the docks. bermuda cruise discount PIZZA HUT delivers to the Marina, but not the Floating Houses..no way to get there. Wal-Mart, other grocery stores, and a varity of shops close by.
We had a wonderful time on the floating house. The house is clean, spacious, well furnished and equiped. We had 6 adults and 4 children in our group. I would recommend to anyone I know to stay at this house, but I don't want to because it will make it more difficult for me to get a reservation next year. Yes, that's right we will be going back. My friends and I went to Norris Lake for a girls get away. The house was wonderful. We were all impressed with how clean the home was. The furnishing were just right. We plan to make this our annual trip.

Spent A few days in your two bedroom floating house " Lake Shore " with 8 Crazy girls for our annual bermuda cruise discount girls trip prior to my family joining me in the three bedroom for a few more days after, I was sad to see the girls leave but excited to spend time with my family and show them Norris Lake & your floating homes, bermuda cruise discount that I have spoken so greatly of for the past 3 years. We live 3 miles from Norris Lake, but still vacation on the lake. This is the second yr we rented from Shirley, highly recommed her!! This home was awesome, huge house with everything and more. The kids had a great time and so did we!! Loved the slide and large swim platform! Water temp was 84 degrees and water was beautiful, had a great time tubing with kids and family, had inlaws staying in the 2BR across from us, so it was fun for all and the paddle boat came in handy, used it in am for early morning pick up for coffee with sister-inlaw on porch lol, couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing time!!!!!!!!!! We stayed a whole week. It was our first time there but it will not be our last! There were 7 of us,all adults. The bed in the master bedroom was SOOO comfy! We had some rain, but we had some good weather too. Even the rainy days weren't bad. We just sat under the covered patio and watched the rain drops hit the water. It was peaceful and relaxing.
The floating house was very very nice inside and outside. The only negative is about the beds - the mattresses are absolutely horrible and truly need to be replaced bermuda cruise discount on all but the bunk beds. The staff at Whitman's Marina were very nice, responsive and accomodating.
This was an amazing way to have a family vacation. The houses are so big you don't even realize you're on the lake! This place is nicer than all the other places we have stayed. It is the first time we have stayed on a floating house, and we are looking forward to coming back in June. We don't have a boat, so the owners rented us their 18 foot pontoon boat that is substantially cheaper than the Marinas rent their boats. The kids loved being on the water, but not as much as my husband. The owners told us they are installing a swimming/sunning platform on the front of the house, what a great idea.....Can't wait. Just a bunch of guys trying to have a good time. These houses sure beat the usual condo rentals that we used to use. Had so much fun we will try to come back next year, and this time try to get some fishing in.
