Who's ready for more of those magical pants ? The trailer for the second installment of the movie franchise based on Ann Brashares's best-selling novel is now online. Weird thing is I bought the book when the movie came out, and never read it knowing that I was probably too old to enjoy it...but I loved the movie. Can't wait for the next film, I love the cast.
OMG, the other morning I woke up at 7 am on a Saturday. My boyfriend was still asleep and I guess I just needed an estrogen fix so I watched the first Pants again, and it was still just as good! So much smarter and more sensitive than some boring rom com, I love how the exotic scenery of Greece and the cool originality of each character totally transcends the usual chick flick genre. Yay Pants! Plus, could Blake Lively please be more beautiful?
So they're making the last book the second mazama village motor inn movie? I wonder if they'll ignore the back stories of the 2 books in between. Read the books, loved the film EXCEPT for that irk on Kostos and Lena Calligaris part where they ignored the book's conflict of an inner turmoil of Lena that ultimately turned into a grandfather dispute to just a hacked up run in the mill family dispute. Ah well, still it was a good movie and great books.
It might be a cute movie for watching on a rainy day, but I most definitely wouldn't pay money to see this. The first movie was acceptable (even though it wasn't completely true to the book), but I get the feeling that the second movie of "Sisterhood" will be lesser in quality.
